Richard James HUTCHENS' wife, Emily Alma, died giving birth to their 11th child. This child was adopted by local baptist minister and his wife, Rev and Mrs Bungey, and named Ruth Bartlett BUNGEY. The next youngest child, a two-year old, was brought up by her aunt and uncle, Sarah and George HUGHES. She was Emily Mollie (Mollie) HUTCHENS.

Richard married Emily Alma BARTLETT [1031] [MRIN: 341] on 1 Sep 1882 in Melrose, South Australia. (Emily Alma BARTLETT [1031] was born circa 1855 and died on 2 Apr 1898 in Orroroo, South Australia.)
