1915 SA Death 396/453 DIX Thomas undefined Morphett Vale

The Register (Adelaide, SA : 1901 - 1929) Mon 8 Nov 1915
A SUDDEN DEATH.
CLARENDON, November 5.-Mr. Thomas Dix left home this morning apparently in good health and spirits, to tie up some wattle bark. He told his wife that if he were not back to dinner not to call him, as he wished to fill in some rabbit burrows on the other side of the creek be fore coming home. Consequently when dinner time arrived and he failed to put in an appearance no alarm was felt, but as the afternoon wore on and still he did not return, his daughter decided to go and look for him. She failed to find him. His wife and daughter then went to the wattle bark heap, and followed the path they though be would travel to reach the other side of the creek. There they found him dead. Apparently he bad been going to have a drink out of the creek, his hat being placed about a yard away. Life had been extinct some hours. Mr. T. Shipway (Coroner) derided that an inquest was unnecessary, as deceased had for years suffered with his heart, and there were no signs of any struggle.
