Table Talk (Melbourne, Vic. : 1885 - 1939) Thu 3 Sep 1936
Weddings:
Uren--Prince
MT. PLEASANT METHODIST CHURCH Forest Hill, was the setting for the wedding recently of Miss Gladness V. T. Prince, youngest daughter of Mrs Harriet H. Prince, of McClare Road, Vermont, and the late Mr John C. Prince, with Mr Raymond L. Uren, eldest son of Mr and Mrs L. Uren, Canterbury Road, Vermont. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr W D. Bale, of Box Hill, wore a charming frock of white satin, cut on long slender lines. The tight-fitting sleeves came into points over her hands, and the graceful skirt extended into a long train. Her tulle veil was held in place with a halo of orange blossom and satin, and she carried a bouquet of white carnations, sweet peas, autumn leaves and fern. Two bridesmaids, the Misses Bessie Uren and Grace Newman, attended her. They were frocked alike in pale blue satin, and they wore silver leaves in their hair. In perfect harmony were their bouquets of salamander carnations, sweet peas, autumn leaves and fern. Mr Howard Uren was best man and Mr Frank Boucher groomsman. After the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev J. W. Crean, of Mitcham, a reception was held at the Methodist Hall, Forest Hill.
