TAKING RISKS Mr. Gharies Oxford, of Reynclla, walked two miles with this swarm of bees on his arm last month. He enticed the queen bee on to his arm, and the swarm, clustered around, and held tight until the queen bee was released. Mr. Oxford did not receive one sting during the journey. DEATH OF MR. CHARLES OXFORD
The death of Mr. Charles Oxford (55) occurred at the Hospital yesterday. Mr. Oxford was born at Happy Valley (S.A.) and had been
a resident of Broken Hill for a number of years. He was a miner employed on the South mine and was a member of the W.I.U.
The funeral took place today, leaving his late residence, 176 Cobalt Street, at 2.30 p.m. for the Church of England Cemetery. Fred J. Potter and Son had charge of the funeral arrangements.
Charles married Priscilla Elsie COLLINS [15776] [MRIN: 5818], daughter of James COLLINS [726] and Sarah Ann SMART [721], on 28 Aug 1909 in Registry Office, Adelaide, South Australia.
