Obituary:
Mrs. George Dunn, a highly esteemed resident of Charleston, died ut her residence, 'Gumbank' last week. Mrs, Dunn was the eldest daughter of Mr. James Wardlaw Dasher, who came to South Australia in the Palmyra, in 1836. He was head teacher in the schools at Woodside and Charleston for many years. Mrs. Dunn was born in Adelaide seventy-two years ago, and went to Charleston with her parents about sixty-five years ago, and had resided there ever since. She was married to Mr. George Dunn, of Charleston, and had been connected withthe Charlston Methodist Church from youth. She leaves a family of six, Messrs. L. W. G. Dunn (Adelaide), J. W. Dunn and V. E. Dunn (Charleston), Mesdames G. A. W. Pope (Adelaide), A. S. Hughes (Woosside), and Miss Dunn (Charleston). One brother and three sisters survive her. There are eleven grandchildren.
Eliza married George DUNN [1458] [MRIN: 487], son of William H. DUNN [1459] and Elizabeth HERD [1655], on 11 May 1870 in PM Chapel, Mount Charles, South Australia. (George DUNN [1458] was born in 1844 and died on 3 May 1906.)
