Concerning People:
On Tuesday, April 30, the marriage of Gracie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs M. A. Kennedy, of Millicent, and Sidney, eldest son of Mr and and Mrs W. W. Redman, of Coonawarra, was celebrated at St. Alphonsus' church at 7 p.m. The bride, who entered the church on her father's arm, chose a beautiful magnolia satin frock, merging into a long train. Her two-tiered tulle veil was held with a coronet and orange buds. She carried a sheaf bouquet of gladioli and tuberoses. She was attended by her two sisters, Dulcie and Patricia, charmingly frocked alike in pale pink, with imitation flowered hats, and carrying sheafs of gladioli. Mr Ron Redman was best man, and Mr Alan Shaw, groomsman. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Kelly. Miss Sullivan officiated at the organ, and Mrs Vogt beautifully rendered the hymns during the ceremony. The reception was held at Atwell's cafe. The beautiful three-tiered cake was made by the bride's aunt, Mrs W. Brennan, and iced by Mrs Edgcumbe. The bride's mother chose an all black suit, and the bridegroom's mother wore a black beaded frock, toned with wedgewood blue, finished with a shoulder spray. The bride travelled in a green suit wilth brown accessories. The happy couple left that night for Adelaide, where their honeymoon was spent.
