Port Lincoln Times (SA : 1927 - 1954) Thu 10 Nov 1949 Page 8 Arno Bay Social Notes Mr. Harold Tilbrook and Mr. John Bauer, of Hope Valley, spent an enjoyable week at the home of Mr. Tilbrook's sister and brother-in-law (Mr. and Mrs. Ted Richards), at Arno Bay.
The Advertiser (Adelaide, SA : 1931 - 1954) Sat 19 Jan 1946 Page 11 LORRY STRIKES BRIDGE Boy. Thrown From Rear. Injured When Mr. Alfred Johann Bauer 50, gardener of Hope Valley, was driving a motor lorry along the main road from Adelaide, about 2 pm yesterday the vehicle collided with the side of a bridge just beyond Chain of Ponds and was considerably damaged. Harold Lawrence Tilbrook 16 of Hope Valley, one of eight occupants of the lorry, was thrown from the rear of it and was caught between it and the bridge receiving severe injuries. After having been given first aid he was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and admitted there with concussion and a fractured arm. The other occupants of the lorry which included an infant a few months old escaped serious harm. Constable R A. Fitzgerald, of Gumercha investigated the accident .

TILBROOK, Harold Lawrence. -- Passed away suddenly, but peacefully in his sleep at home on December 5, 2002. Aged 73 years. Loved father of Carlene, Darren and Jodi-Anne and father-in-law of Neville, Melissa and Andrew. Granddad to Joshua, Samuel, Isabella, Benjamin, Mitchell, Rebecca and Lachlan. Loving brother to Eileen. Thanks for all your love and support during our lives. Be happy in your beach house in the sky.
