WEDDING.
A wedding took place at the Wesley Church, Fremantle, on Wednesday, the 23rd ult., between Mr. Ernest Thomas, eldest son of Mr. J. Thomas, and grandson of Captain Thomas, of Fremantle, to Ruby, only daughter of the late Thomas Bails, late of Port Adelaide and Broken Hill, and grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Richard Webster, of Fremantle. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. Burridge. The bride was given away by her grandfather and late guardian, Mr. Richard Webster, of Fremantle. The bride wore a dress of white silk, trimmed with satin bands, transparent yoke, and pearl ornaments, veil, and wreath, and carried a shower bouquet. The brides-maids were Miss Webster (aunt of bride) and a little girl, Freda Rendell (cousin), who, both wore cream, Miss Webster's costume being broche, trimmed with lace and satin ribband; straw hat, with chiffon, bright buckles, and feathers. The little bridesmaid. Freda Rendell, wore cream brocaded silk, trimmed with chiffon and lace and satin ribband; Leghorn hat trimmed with silk, bright buckles, and feathers. Breakfast was served at the residence of the bride's grand-parents, at 6 o'clock in the afternoon, when upwards of thirty sat down, and the usual toasts were honoured. At 9 o'clock a very successful dance and musical evening commenced, during which the following ladies and gentlemen contributed to the enjoyment of the guests by rendering songs, duets, violin solos, etc. Misses Webster and Hilda Welsh, Mesdames Mosey and Rendell, Messrs. H. Webster, Gibbs, Phillips, and Power, and others. A number of handsome presents were received.
