A pretty wedding was celebrated on Saturday, April 28th, in Archer Street North Adelaide Methodist church, when Miss Elva Higgs of Blyth ahd Pte. George Campbell (Scottie), AIF Darwin, were married. Rev. Strange performed the ceremony. Mr. Sable Grivell officiated at the organ. The bride was gowned in white satin. She was attended by Miss Violet Roberts, of Bowmans, dressed in blue and carrying a sheaf of pink and blue flowers. The flower girl (neice of bride), Lois Shepherd, of Blyth, was frocked in pink net and carried a basket of mauve and pink flowers. Mr. C. E. Sallis was the best man. During the signing of the register Mr. Alf. Smith of Gawler sang 'I'll walk beside you.' On leaving the church a slipper and horseshoes were hung on the bride's arm by Beth Lavis, Gay Cowell, Len Shepherd and Norm Lavis. About 70 guests were received and entertained in the reception hall at Archer Street. The bride and groom left for the honeymoon to be spent at Marion Bay.
