bullet  Marriage Notes:

Gilgandra Weekly (NSW) Thursday 18 April 1946
ANDERSON-OEHM
Many friends and relatives were present at the Methodist Church, Gilgandra, when Miss Mavis Anderson, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Anderson of Mosgiel, Gilgandra was married to Mr. Eric Oehm (ex-RAAF), of Bundally, Gilgandra, youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. Oehm. Rev. W. I. Jago officiated at the ceremony.
The bride looked particularly charming in a frock of heavy off white crepe, trimmed with crystal beading and a very prettily veiled white straw hat, and carried a bouquet of white dahlias and carnations. She was given away by her father.
Her twin sister, Mrs. Ron Semmler, who attended her as matron of honour, wore a dull blue crepe frock and a chic deep red straw hat. She carried a bouquet of red roses and gladioli.
Best man was Mr. Cecil Oehm (twin brother of the bridegroom).
After the ceremony a reception was held in the CWA Rooms and the guests were received by the bride's mother, who worn a frock of navy and white sheer with a posy of red rose buds.
The happy couple left later by car on their honeymoon, to be spent in the city, the bride travelling in a floral frock and light weight wool blue coat, with matching hat.
