OBITUARY
Mr. Richard Obed Page, of Minlaton who died recently, was born at Aldinga 67 years ago, and moved to Yorke Peninsula with his father, the late Mr Richard Page, in 1876. On the death of his father in 1890 he worked on the farm and obtained possession of two neighboring properties. He was one of the first to take advantage of the use of the seed drill and phosphate manures and was one of the most successful growers of wheat and barley In the district. An athlete and cricketer in his young days, Mr. Page was chairman of the Minlaton District Council for years and a member of school and show committees. He married the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs Thomas, of North Unley. He leaves a widow and one daughter.
