Mrs. Mary Smith, 83, wife of Mr. F. W. Smith, of Mount Barker, who died on August 7, was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Duffield, and was born at Shady Grove, where she was a foundation member of the Unitarian Church. She attended the Hahndorf School, and married Mr. Smith about 60 years ago. Women's auxiliary work claimed Mrs. Smith's attention and she was a keen member. A son, Mr. Leslie Smith, and Mr. Smith survive.
