Former Tramwayman Dead
Mr. Emanuel Mendel Harris, of Hackney road, Hackney, died yesterday at the age of 76 years. He was born at Manchester, England, and came to South Australia about 60 years ago. He learned the tailoring trade, but until five years ago, when he retired, was a servant of the Municipal Tramways Trust. For about 50 years he had been a Freemason and a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows. The remains were buried at West Terrace Cemetery this afternoon. Mr. Harris has left a widow and seven children Mesdames George Stark (Kadina), Lionel Nunn (Cumberland); H. Lenthall (Unley), R. J. Clark (Prospect), Messrs. George Harris (Hackney), Edgar Harris (Henley Beach), and Albert Harris (Kingswood).
