Motorists Break Traffic Laws
101 CONVICTIONS TODAY In a little more than two and a half hours Mr. W. Hall, S.M;, disposed of 101 cases at Adelaide Traffic Court this morning. Fines amounted to £175.
Some time before the magistrate took his seat on the Bench the courtroom was full and the crowd of motorists overflowed down the stairs into the vestibule below. In one instance by the time a defendant had forced his way through the throng several other names had been read out, and the court had passed onto another case.
The congestion was taken in good part. Most of the defendants seemed to feel with one who exclaimed when caught., "- you blok es are hard!" Amusement was caused by another, who said he was in a hurry because "he had several men down a well." Those fined were:
