Meier — Drewett
At the Paskeville Methodist Church, on March 6, the marriage was celebrated of Thelma J., younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Drewett, to Harley M. younger son younger of Mrs. and the late Mr. G. W. C. M. Meier, both of Paskeville. The Rev. F. Timberlake officiated, and Miss Shirley Price played the organ, the service being choral. The church was decorated with pink asters and dahlias by friends of the bride. A gown of off-white was worn by the bride. Miss Valda Drewett (cousin or the bride) and Miss Joan Bannister (cousin of the bridegroom) were bridesmaids and frocked alike in pink. The flower girl, Kathleen Drewett (cousin of the bride), preceded the bridal party. Mr. George Meier was bestman and Mr Edgar Drewett groomsman. Mrs. Les Davey (Adelaide) sang "My Prayer." accompanied by Mrs. Meier. Guests attended a reception held in tbe Oddfellows' Hall.
Thelma married Harley Martin MEIER [7473] [MRIN: 2607], son of Gustav Wilhelm Christian Machin MEIER [7470] and Ethelwin BROADBENT [3189], on 6 Mar 1940 in Methodist Church, Paskeville, South Australia. (Harley Martin MEIER [7473] was born on 24 Apr 1914 in Kadina, South Australia, died on 21 Aug 1991 in "Hadfield" Paskeville, South Australia and was buried on 26 Aug 1991 in Green Plains West Cemetery, South Australia.)
