Gilgandra and Weekly Castlereagh (NSW) Thursday 9 October 1841 WEDDING BELLS CHAMPION-OEHM Decorated with Arum lilies and pink sweet peas, the Methodist Church, Dubbo, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday afternoon, 4th October, when Miss Ivy Winnifred Oehm, younger (daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Oehm, of "Thorndale," Gilgandra, was married to Mr. William Thomas Champion, of Curban, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Champion, of Plymouth, England. Rev. N. G. Pardey officiated. The bride wore a dainty frock of dove blue, with a deeper shade of blue hat and accessories. She carried a lovely bouquet of misty pink heath and blue delphiniums, which toned beautifully with her frock. The bridesmaid, Miss Mavis Anderson, was frocked in dusty pink, with tones of powder blue. Her bouquet was of delphiniums and sweet peas. (Mr. Cecil Oehm (brother of the bride) was best man. Only members of the family and intimate friends were present at the reception. Mr. and Mrs. Champion will make their future home in Dubbo.
