WEDDING:
Ladyman - Bott.
A pretty wedding was solemnised on November 4 at St. Andrew's Church, Katanning, when Dorothy ("Bobbie"), youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. EL S. Bott, of Cherry Tree Pool, was married to Alan, second son of Mrs. Jos. Ladyman, of Carrolup. The Rev. T.R. Pelham Thorman officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very sweet and girlish in a frock of white lace with plaited satin girdle. Her tulle veil fell in misty folds over her train and was held at the head by an Early Victorian bonnet of silver lace. A sheaf of shell-pink gladioli completed her dainty toilet. Miss Dot. Ladyman, cousin of the bridegroom, made a charming brides maid frocked in mauve silk taffeta with a shirred waistline and full skirt. Her gold Early Victorian bonnet held a matching veil and she wore gold shoes. Her posy was of gold roses and mauve scabious tied with gold ribbon. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Denis O'Halloran as best man. During the signing of the register Mr. Ron. Bott, of Perth, uncle of the bride, sang "The Lord's Prayer." After the ceremony a reception was held at the Parish Hall, where Mrs. Bott, mother of the bride, received the guests. She wore a smart black figured satin glamour frock with matching three-quarter length tailored velvet coat. Her black straw hat was trimmed with mauve veiling and a posy of mauve and pink sweet peas and carnations completed her toilet. She was assisted by Mrs. Ladyman, who chose black silk sheer and a smart black hat trimmed with black and white bow. Her posy was of pink roses. Later in the evening the bride and, bridegroom left for their honeymoon, the bride travelling in an olive-green frock with matching shoes, gloves and bag, and smart tailored light weight woollen coat of Capri rose, with green belt, and smart green hat trimmed with veiling to match coat. The delicious wedding cake was made by the sister of the bride, Mrs. F. L. Gare, and daintily iced by Mrs. Ted Campbell.
