WEDDING.
A very pretty wedding was celebrated last Saturday at Holy Trinity Church, Williams, when Miss Betty Dawson was married to Mr. Norman Petchell. The bride, who looked very charming in a white linen suit with a close-fitting coat and a white picture hat, carried a sheaf of white roses; while her bridesmaid, Miss Gwen Petchell, chose for her costume a turquoise linen suit with a white picture hat and a bouquet of pink and white roses. Mr. S. Groth was bestman and the Rev. R. E. Walker officiated. After the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. B. Dawson, assisted by the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Petchell, and the bridal party, received the guests at the Agricultural Hall. Mr. L. Groth very ably presided at the wedding breakfast, where the usual toasts were honoured- This was followed later by a public reception to which many local residents came to extend their good wishes to the young couple.
