Reunions of old friends, continued, and after each service large groups gathered outside the-churches for some time talking over the old days. SULPHIDE-BLENDE METHODIST At the Sulphide-Blende Methodist Church three special services were held. In the morning the service was conducted by the Rev. A. W. Wellington who was a minister of the church in 1905. He addressed the children present on "Sharing." The preacher' was the Rev. Alwyn Broadbent, of Terowie, who attended the church as a boy. His discourse was based on the text "What I Then Shall I Do With Jesus." A solo was sung by Miss O. Pope. The afternoon service took the form of a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Mr. Wellington presided, and recalled many old incidents. The speaker was Mr. Norman Makin, M.H.R. He also attended the church when a boy. His subject was "Inexhaustible Riches." Solos were sung by Mrs. Gentle (Miss V. Morton), Mrs. Peterson (Miss B. Gummow), Mr. Bruce Hosking, and Master Bobby Elridge. A duet was sung by Mrs. Peterson and Miss E. Wellington, and Mrs. Hunter played a violin solo. At night a large congregation assembled at the service conducted by Mr. Broadbent. The address was given by Mr. Wellington on "I Say Unto The That Thou Art Peter, and Upon This Rock Will I Build My Church"." A large choir of old and present day members sang the anthem "King of Kings" under the leadership of Mr. Bruce Hosking, with Mrs. Hosking at the organ. The solo part was taken by Miss Wellington. A solo was also sung by Mrs. Gentle, and a duet by Mrs. Peterson and Miss Wellington. At all services the congregation stood in silence for a brief period in remembrance of old members of the church who had passed away. At the conclusion of the evening service a large number of the congregation went into the Lecture Hall where a brief time of reminiscence was spent.
