1907 WA Marriage Uren Edgar A Male Batt Olive Female Beverley 12

The Pingelly Leader (W.A.) Friday 22 Feb 1907
UREN - BATT.
A very pretty wedding took place at Marwonga oh Tuesday last, when in the presence of numerous guests, at the residence of Mr. E.A. Uren, son of Mr. N. Uren, of Kelmscott was united to Miss Olive Batt, 2nd daughter of Mr. Robert Batt, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. A.N. George. The bride was very prettily dressed, and, although no mere man could describe the material, yet the effect was very pleasing and tasteful. The bride was given away by Mr. R. Batt, and was attended by Miss A. Moore and Miss Batt as bridesmaids, who were also tastefully gowned, whilst the bridegroom was supported by Mr. Ferris, and Mr. C. Batt. After the ceremony, a
well served and ample repast was provided and at the conclusion of the feast, the following toasts were honored: - "Bride and Bride groom," proposed by Rev. A. N. George, and responded to by the groom. " Bridesmaids," proposed by Mr. Ferris, responded to by Mr. C. Batt; "Parents of Bride and Bridegroom," proposed by Mr. G.
Watts, responded to by Mr. S. Watts; "Absent friends." proposed by Mr. S. Wise, responded to by Mr. A. Penny. The presents from friends and wellwishers were numerous, useful, and tasteful. After supper the bride and bride
groom drove to their new home amid the plaudits of the guests, the usual showers of rice, old shoes, etc.
