JOHNSON, John Frederick (Eric). -- 30/4/1911-4/2/2001. Passed away peacefully at the QEH in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of Marjory. Loving father and father-in-law of Judene and Greg, David and Julie. Loving grandfather of Felicity, Ben, Paul, Kate and Lucy. Loving great-grandfather of Dylan. Rest peacefully. Our family wish to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Ward 4B and 6B at the QEH.

Committed for Trial:
A secondhand dealer said that he purchased a suit from defendant The suit was later identified by Mr. White.
Plainclothes Constable Reidy said that, with Detective P.J. Donnellan, he questioned Hansen who at first denied any knowledge of the suit but later admitted having sold it for another man. The missing sleeve links
and money had not been recovered Hansen reserved his defence and was committed for trial. He was then further charged with having at Alberton East on May 4, broken and entered the dwelling house of Horace James Johnson and stolen a pair of shoes, and felt hat, together valued at 30/, the property of Johnson, and jewellery valued at £12, the property of Irene Glenrose Johnson; and, secondly with having received the property mentioned in the above count, knowing it to have been stolen. Johnson told the court that he was
away from his home for about four hours on May 4. On his return he found a stranee pair of muddy shoes on a bed. He then discovered the loss of his own artirles and the jewellery. Plainclothes Constable Reidy said
that Hansen was wearing the missing shoes at the time of his arrest. Hansen again reserved his defence
and was committed for trial. Plain-clothes Constable A. L. Mitchell, who prosecuted, opposed bail.
