Windsor and Richmond Gazette (NSW) Friday 1 October 1937 Riverstone Wedding: MARSHALL- ANDREWS A VERY pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew's Church, Riverstone, on September 4, 1937, the contracting parties being Miss Alice Doreen Andrews, only, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Andrews, of Windsor-road, Riverstone, and Mr. Lewis Thomas Marshall, youngest son of Mrs. C. E. Marshall and the late Mr. Marshall of Penrith. The Rev. H. Whittle officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory satin and an embroidered veil held by a halo of orange blossom and pleated tulle, and carried a sheaf of arum lilies, sweet peas and forget-me-nots. Miss Mabel Haines, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid in a frock of blue flat crepe and halo cap of blue tulle to match, carrying a sheaf of blue and pink lupins. Misses Erna and Vera Haines, cousins of the bride, were flower girls daintily at tired in pale pink georgette, and carried baskets of pink carnations and sweet peas. Mr. Eric Marshall, brother of the bride groom, was best man. The reception was held at the residence, of the bride, the bride's mother, dressed in black georgette, assisted by the bridegroom's mother, dressed in navy floral crepe de chene, receiving the seventy guests. The happy couple left by car, the bride being dressed in an ensemble of blue metalesse and navy accessories. They will make their home at Homebush.
