The Mail (Adelaide, SA : 1912 - 1954) Sat 8 May 1926 Page 3 HILLS TRAGEDY No enquiry is to be held regarding the deaths of Mrs. Annie Paterson Rainey and her daughter, Miss Wanda Rainey, which occurred between the Eagle-on- the Hill and Mountain Hut, on the Mount Barker road early yesterday morning as the result of a motor lorry driven by Mr. Stanley Rainey, of Scott Creek, overturning. Mr. Stanley Rainey, driver of the motor lorry had sufficiently recovered from his injuries today to be removed from the Adelaide Hospital. He was taken by friends to Fullarton.

Mr. Stanley Pahiney, driver of the motor lorry had sufficiently recovered from his injuries today to be removed rrom the Adelaide Hospital. He was taken by friends to Fullarton.

Ramsay Smith) has decided that an inquest is not necessary into the deaths of Mrs. Annie Paterson and her five-year old daughter, Wanda, who were killed when a motor lorry driven by the woman's husband, Mr. Stanley Rainey, of Scott's Creek, crashed off the road between the Mountain Hut and the Eagle-on-the-Hill into the gully below early on Friday morning. Mr. Rainey had sufficiently recovered from the injuries he received to be removed on Saturday from the Adelaide Hospital to the home of relatives.

Two people were killed and another Injured when a motor lorry overturned on the Mount Barker Road at Windy Corner. The casualties were: - KILLED. Mrs. ANNIE PATERSON RAINEY, about 32. WANDA JEAN RAINEY, daughter, 5. INJURED. STANLEY RAINEY, about 30, husband of the above, a market gardener, of Scott's Creek, head injuries, severe shock. Rainey was admitted to Adelaide Hospital.
