Sir- i have had a long ex perience of the Mount Barker road and am con cerned as much as most people with the frequent accidents which take place on it. The proposed new road through Burnside to Eagle on-the-Hill will do nothing to improve the position; in fact, it will create a bottle neck unless the road from the Eagle to Crafers is widened. In my opinion, the High ways Department should start on this upper section during next summer at the latest. With four or five gangs working separately, with eight or ten bulldozers, four large mobile earth-moving scoops, front-end loaders, the necessary tip lorries and expert quarrymen, the work could be completed in a couple of months if the timber was removed and the telephone posts shifted be forehand. Stan married Annie Paterson CAMERON [11099] [MRIN: 3903], daughter of Donald CAMERON [11102] and Annie PATERSON [11103], on 19 Jun 1919 in Chalmers Church, Adelaide, South Australia. (Annie Paterson CAMERON [11099] was born on 22 Nov 1890 in Yorketown, South Australia, died on 7 May 1926 in Crafers, South Australia and was buried on 8 May 1926 in West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide, South Australia.). The cause of her death was accident.
