LOCAL DANCERS WIN FOX TROT CHAMPIONSHIP
The Race Ball, conducted toy the Catholic Hall Committee on Wednesday evening, attracted ahout 300 dancers. A feature of the function was the Great Northern Fox Trot Chamionship. Eighteen couples faced the judges (Mrs. Boeham, Messrs. Francis and Johnstone, of Adelaide), in heats. The ultimate winners proved to be Mr. R. Martin and Miss M. Dighton (both of Port Augusta). The decision was well received. Another local couple, Mr. E. McAuliffe and Miss J. Dighton, were runners-up. Mr. J.G. Riordan was MC, the Regency Dance Band provided the music and a committee of ladies, headed by Mrs, P. O'Reilly, served a tasty home made supper.

McAULIFFE THE RELATIVES and FRIENDS of the late MR EDWARD FRANCIS (Ted) McAULIFFE, of 10 Moyes St, Port Augusta, are advised that Requiem Mass for the repose of his Soul, will be celebrated in All Saints Church Port Augusta on WEDNESDAY November 15 at 2 p.m. the Funeral will leave the Church after Mass for the Stirling North Garden Cemetery.
