MOTOR CAR BURNED .
Malicious act alleged
Maliciously damaging a motor car belonging to Mary Graham, married woman, of 91 Glenferrie road, Malvern, was the allegation against Henry Edward Coleman, who appeared before Judge Wolnarskl in the Court of General Sessions today. With William Maxwell Coleman recently stood his trial on the present charge, but the Jury disagreed in his case, and a fresh trlal was ordered. Maxwell pleaded guilty, but sentence was suspended on his entering into a bond to be of good behavior for three years. Maxwell gave evidence against Coleman, and admitted having sprinkled petrol over the car and having set fire to it, at Colemnn's instigation, The Crown alleged that Coleman met Maxwell at the Prahran market, und prevailed upon him to damage the car for 50/. The two men were arrested by Plainclothes Constables E. F. Cummins and H. Clarke. Mr H. Shelton (instructed by Mr R. B. Hourigan) appeared for Coleman. (Proceeding).
