TOOP.- On the 31st July, at her residence, Morchard, of senile decay, Jane Toop, relict of the late Abner Toop, of Wickham's Hill. Arrived in the ship Sea Park in 1852. Colonist of 54 years.

Obituary:
Mrs. Jane Toop, relict of the late Abner Toop, died on July 31. Mrs. Toop had resided in this district for 30 years. Her late husband Mr. Abner Toop who was one of the first to select land in this part of the north, died 24 years ago. Mrs Toop resided on the farm till about 18 months ago. when she took up her residence at Morchard with her daughter, Miss Edith. Three other daughters - Misses Jane, Eliza, and Annie Toop - are in business at Orroroo. Mrs. F. Forbes, of Orroroo: Mrs. W. Graham, of Ninapre, Victoria; Mr. William Toop. who has had the home farm since his father's death; and Mr. George Toop, of Kingston, south-east, are also children of deceased, who was widely respected.

Jane married Abner TOOP [7362] [MRIN: 2551], son of William TOOP [13786] and Unknown, in 1851 in LND, England. (Abner TOOP [7362] was born circa 1827, died on 27 Mar 1882 in Hundred of Pekina, South Australia and was buried in Morchard Cemetery, South Australia.)
