COOMANDOOK
The ladies of the Congregational Church held a gift afternoon at the Parkin Hall, Mrs. G. H. Bayly (president of the ladies' guild) was in the chair. Items were rendered by Misses Gwen Williss, Joan Brown, and Lois Williams, Masters N. and G. Brown, C. McArdle, and Ken Williams. Competitions were won by Mesdames A.L. Brown, George Goodale, and J. R. Chapman. The gifts stall was conducted by Mesdames N. B. McArdle, J. R. Chapman, and H. F. Chapman. The afternoon tea was in charge of Mrs. R. A. Williams and Misses W. Trestrail and M. Chapman. The proceeds were divided between the manse fund and the widows and orphan fund of the London Missionary Society.
