Border Watch Thursday 19 May 1938 Personal. Misses Jean and Eve Moyse, of Dulwich, are spending a short vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Perriam, of Wehl Street. Although they have travelled extensively, both in Australia and abroad, they consider the Lakes and surroundings as beautiful and interesting as anything they have seen elsewhere.

Northern Argus (Clare) Wednesday 4 July 1951 Jubilee Concert at Clare: This Friday, July 6th. The Arts Council of South Australia is presenting a Jubilee Concert at Clare Town Hall this Friday night that everybody in Mid-North should hear. Details about the artists are ate follows: - Eve Moyse - Winner of the Hugo Wolf' Liederprieze for 1950. She sang the role of 'Martha' in the Elder Conservatorium production of Gounod's opera 'Faust' during 1950, and in September of this year she will sing a leading role in a performance of Mozart's 'Don Giovanni.'
The Evening Advocate (Innisfail, Qld. : 1941 - 1954) Thu 29 May 1952 Eleventh heat of Mobil quest: Contestants from South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales will be heard in the 11th Heat of 1952 Mobil Quest which will be broadcast from 4CA on Monday June 2 at 8-39 pan. Dramatic Soprano, Eve Moyse of Warradale, South Australia, has selected as her ballad Elgar's "Shepherd Song" and the aria from Puccini's "Madame Butter fly", "One Fine Day." Educated at St. Peter's Girls' Collegiate and the South Australian School of Arts, Eve Moyse is the daugter of baritone, Gerald Moyse and is married to Harold Pettman, bass singer and clarinet player, both well known in Adelaide. Last year this singer took part in the Adelaide Operatic Group Productions of "Matha" and 'Faust" and this year will sing the part of Donna, el Vava in "Don Giovanni." Two years ago, Miss Moyse was successful in winning the Lucy Bagot Operatic Award and the Arts Council Leider "Hugh Wolf prize and was a finalist in the Aria Section of the 1951 Adelaide Eisteddfod. Victoria's contestant is the Mezzo-Soprano, Loris Sutton, who reached the grand final of the 1951 Mobli Quest and took part in the Australian wide "Stars of Mobil Quest" Recital Tour. Miss Sutton is also studying the piano and speechcraft but intends making singing her main career, and expects to go over seas to further studies.. Her selection to be heard on the broadcast will be Del Riego's Ballad "Dry Those Tears" and Donizetti's "O Mio Fernando" from "La Favorita." The third contestant is the Baritone, Alan Light of New South Wales. Alan Light sang leading roles this year in the Melbourne season of the National Opera and is at the present time being heard in the Sydney Nat ional Opera season. Alan . Light will sing the ballad "Old Man . River', and the aria "Now Tour Days of Philandering Are Over" from Mozart's "Marriage of Figiaro".

Quest Dramatic soprano Eve Moyse, of Warradale, will be South Australia's representative in the eleventh heat of Mobil Quest, from 5AD and 2BH, Broken Hill, tomorrow night at 8.30. She has selected 'Shepherd's Song,' by Elgar, and the aria, 'One Fine Day,' from Puccini's 'Madame Butter fly,' for Mobil Quest. Also to be heard in this heat will be mezzo soprano Loris Sutton, of Victoria, grand finalist in the 1951 Mobil Quest, and NSW baritone, Alan Light. The three singers will be accompanied by the Australian Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Hector Crawford. . . .
The Advertiser (Adelaide) Saturday 31 May 1952 SA Artists On Network; Premiere On ABC 5AD-PI-MU-SE listeners will hear South Australian singers and instrumentalists in two big network shows tomorrow evening. At 7.45 p.m. on Wednesday, from 5CL, the ABC will describe the scene in the foyer of the Regent Theatre on the occasion of the premiere of 'Kangaroo.' Both Australia's Hour of Song at 7.30 and Mobil Quest at 8.30 p.m. will feature local artists. The Hour of Song will be the second of the programmes recorded by Dick Fair at the Tivoli Theatre recently. Joan Brown, one of Australia's best-known sopranos, began her singing career with the late Jack Burgess in the 5 AD Kangaroos on Parade, and in recent years, has starred in musical comedies (or J. C. Williamson. Miss Brown is in Adelaide, but will soon leave to resume stage work. Also singing in the tomorrow's Hour of Song will be baritone Jack Ewens, who, like Joan Brown, began his singing career as a Juvenile Leading the audience, at the Tivoli Theatre, and the radio audience, will be the Adelaide Harmony Choir of 70 voices, directed by Lewis Dawe. Completing the Instrumental trio led by pianist Leo White are Adelaide musicians Mel Shanahan and Allan Ellis; Tomorrow evening's 11th Mobil Quest heat will include as one of the three competitors, dramatic soprano Eve Moyse, of Warradale, daughter of Gerald Moyse, Adelaide baritone. Miss Moyse hails from the same suburb as the successful tenor, Kevin Miller. Eve Moyse's husband, Mr. Harold Pettman, completes the musical background of this Mobil Quest competitor. The contest will decide the winner of the first prize of £150, second of £50, and third and fourth of £25 each. This is the third year of the contest for arias from grand opera, sung in English, for prizemoney donated by News Ltd. Ifould for competition among present students on Saturday night, was won by Brenda Bice. Special prizes of a guinea each, given by Mrs. H. Pope, were awarded to Marie Paech and Eve Moyse. There were 21 competitors.
The Argust (Melburne) Saturday 20 February 1954 Smart Balletomanes: There were some elegant women at Her Majesty's Theatre last night for the first change of programme in the Borovansky Ballet season. They included Mrs. F.H. Wright, wife of the Consul-General for the Netherlands, in a long powder blue crepe gown, the bodice, embroidered in silver, and her daughter in-law, Mrs. F. Heathcote Wright, whose lacquer red organza scarf was a bright touch to her grey chiffon dress. Mrs. George Gardner, of Hawthorn, wore blue fox furs with her green nylon muslin gown spotted with grey, which she bought in America last year; and Miss Eve Moyse, of Adelaide, in Melbourne, to compete in the Mobil Quest, was in amethyst faille. . . .
