The Advertiser Friday 13 Feb 1942 Vaudeville For Cheer Up Hostel: A vaudeville show, "Frivolities for the Forces." arranged by the Cheer Up Society primarily for members of the fighting forces on leave in the city, will be given at the Tivoli Theatre tomorrow night. All men in uniform will be admitted free. Civilians may obtain bookings at Cawthorne's for 2/- or 1/-. The proceeds will be in aid of the new Cheer Up Hostel. The programme will include a special amateur half-hour for the troops, with prizes, and fifteen minutes of "guessing the tune" by the troops. Ballets will be given by Eileen Gropler and Gwen Mackey, and items by the Hewitt Sisters, Shirley May, the Harmony Trio. Greta Callow, Decima Harvey, Vera Cheney, Enid Dare. Frank Cull, Jimmy Reid, Howard Merrit, Gerald Moyse, Cyril Talbot, Jack Raus, Mrs. H. Durdin, Mollie Richardson. Lila Simons, Roma Hoffman, Fred Williamson, Ron Briton, Gwen Davis, and Pat Howard.
