Miss Elbe Vickers, sister of Mrs. Gerry Kennett was having her first look at a Friday night in the new Memorial Club. Miss Vickers is from Adelaide and is holidaying for a while with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kennett. There was a gay parly for her at a table in the ladies' lounge on Friday. We noticed Kev Marshall, Doris and Chick Moroney, Joe and Ann Kerrison, Mrs. Ron Morcom and the 'Happy' Andersons, all enjoying the night with this little show.

Miss Judy Rogers and a few friends celebrated Judy's birthday last Wednesday night whilst dining at the Hotel Darwin before proceeding to the picture theatre to spend the evening. Mr. Roger Penny broke his journey from Siam to South Aus- tralia to spend Monday in Darwin with his cousins Elbe Vickers and Gerry Kennett.

On the occasion of her birthday, Elbe Vickers dined at the Hotel Darwin last Thursday evening with Margaret Kleeman, Sheila Rainford, and Marie Sewell The girls later went on to see the play "Tons of Money" at Cavenagh Street Recreational Hall.

C.W.A. CHRISTMAS PARTY
The C.W.A. held their Christmas party last Wednesday when the attendance included members and visitors. Spotlight by "Diana"
The teachers of the Darwin Higher Primary School who are not returning next year dined together at the Hotel Darwin on Saturday night; Kevin McMahon was also celebrating: his birthday. The teachers were the Headmaster, Mr. A. McCant, Kevin McMahon, Bob Zoerner, Ian Congdon, Tom Offord, Bethel Smith, Betty Hannan, Margaret Kleeman, Elbe Vickers, Sheila Ranford, Marion Sparrow, Dallas Wood and Mrs. L Sinclair.

To say goodbye to Darwin friends Sheila Rainford and Elbe Vickers held a party at the Town Mess on Friday night. Elbe left for Adelaide on Sunday morning's plane and Sheila left by car for Melbourne on Wednesday.
The girls prepared a barbecue supper and served refreshments throughout the evening. Their guests included Margaret Cameron, Marie Sewell, Jim Bell, Win Sokey, Ted Woodward and Gwen Henderson.

PENHALE, Elbe Marcella. - Passed away peacefully on June 20, 1992. Aged 70 years. Elder daughter of the late Isabel and Maxwell Vickers of Lenswood. Loving and beloved mother of James, Roger and Martin and mother-in-law of Sue and Cherie. Sincere thanks to the Matron and staff of the Norwood Nursing Home for their devoted care. Lovingly remembered always.
