1918/15759 NZ Death Lynch Thomas 85y (d. 5 Nov 1918)

DEATH
There was interred in the Riverton cemetery on Thursday the remains of Mr Thos. Lynch, who passed away on Monday. Deceased, who had reached the age 85 years, was a native of County Kerry, Ireland and came to this country fully fifty years ago. During his residence in this district he worked chiefly as a farm labourer in the Western District, and had a small place at Gummies bush, which he eventually sold and came to reside in Riverton. The late Mr Lynch was well-known and highly respected, he being ever ready to do a kindly action.

Thomas married Sarah ROURKE [15067] [MRIN: 5537], daughter of John ROURKE [15069] and Sarah [15070], on 26 Aug 1878 in New Zealand. (Sarah ROURKE [15067] was born in Jul 1840 in Liverpool, England, died on 3 Aug 1907 in Riverton, New Zealand and was buried on 7 Aug 1907 in Riverton Cemetery, New Zealand.)
