Great Southern Herald (Katanning, WA : 1901 - 1954) Wed 24 Jun 1936 Obituary: MR. ROSS LADYMAN. The funeral of the late Ross Ladyman, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Jos. Ladyman, of "Woodlands," Carrolup, who died at the Katanning Hospital on Friday morning, after a short illness, at the age of 29 years, took place on Saturday afternoon. After a service at the Methodist Church, the cortege moved to the Katanning General Cemetery, the remains being laid to rest in the Methodist portion. The Rev. R. Steer performed the last rites. The pall-bearers were Messrs. Stan, and Brett Holding, Les. Gare, Cuthbert Ball, Dennis O'Halloran and Dan Bott. Funeral arrangements were in the hands of Mr. J. Squiers. The youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Jos. Ladyman, Ross was a likeable young man, his courteous nature and conscientious disposition winning him a wide circle of friends. He took an active part in the social life of the Carrolup district and was secretary of the newly-formed Carrolup Golf Club, which owed much of its success to his enthusiasm and ability in office. The gathering of friends and sympathisers at the church and graveside was a tribute to the high esteem he was held in the Katanning and surrounding district Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved mother and family in their sad loss.
