Charity Concert at Prospect
An entertaining programme of plays and musical items was submitted by St. Andrew's Dramatic Society at Prospect Town Hall last night. Proceeds were in aid of Walkerville Boys' Home. Features of the performance were two playlets entitled "My Turn Next" and "The Old Bull. The pieces were well acted. Characters were portrayed by Messrs, R. K. Hart, John Cammell, H.O. Stacy, Arthur Bryant, Geoff. Bails, Jim Muecke, and Misses Betty Cornish, Jessie Thyer, June Bails, and Rua Christoe. Misses Theo Ekers (piano), Gladys Verco, A.M.U.A., and Mary Hancock, A.M.U.A. (violins), and Mr. Stan. Grosser ('c'ello) played the musical quartets "Salut D'Amour," "Allegro," and "Romance." Magic, tumbling, and ventriloquism rounded out an artistic programme.
