The death occurred in Perth on Sunday of Mrs. Elizabeth Hocking, a member of the well-known Goldfields family and widow of the late Mr. E. W. Hocking. The late Mrs. Hocking raced Devil's March, who won the Hannans Handicap and Kalgoorlie Cup double in 1918; and other good horses. Her late husband was also a prominent owner, being interested in the great Sprinter, Haud, a good handicapper in Semi Blue, Susarion and the top-class welter performer, Heart of Oak. The late Mr. Hocking raced about 60 horses in the years up to and immediately after World War 1.

LEGACIES.
Elizabeth Ann Hocking, widow, of Mount-street, Perth, who died on August 27 at the age of 80, left estate valued for probate at £28,635/16/11. Under her will she left the residue of her estate to her son after providing legacies for relatives, including her son.

Elizabeth married Cyril Percy Pearce POOLE [14765] [MRIN: 5436] on 17 Jan 1890 in Broken Hill, NSW, Australia. (Cyril Percy Pearce POOLE [14765] was born circa 1875 and died in 1940.)
