1921 WA Marriage, Reg 37, Williams.

Great South Leader (Pingelly) Friday 19 August 1921
WILLIAMS NOTES:
Williams was en fete on Tuesday 26th, the occasion being the marriage of Miss Ella Bernice, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Hughes, of Lauderdale, to William, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Petchell, of "Wimmera" Williams.
The church was beautifully decorated with flowers by girl friends of the bride. Miss Myra Hughes acted as bridesmaid for her sister, whilst Mr. Ken Phillis ably assisted the groom as best man. After the church ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Mason, of Narrogin, a reception was held in Kings Hall by parents of bride, when practically all the town residents attended to wish the happy couple a prosperous journey through life. Dancing was indulged in by the young people until an early hour in the morn. The presents were both numerous and costly. The happy couple spent the honeymoon in the metropolis.
