Sunday Times (Perth) Sunday 21 July 1940 Funeral Notice: PEPPER.-The friends of Mr. Arthur Stanley Pepper are respectfully informed that a Presbyterian Service for his late dearly beloved wife (Eva Blanche) will be held in the Crematorium Chapel, Karrakatta. TOMORROW (Monday) AFTERNOON at 3.15 o'clock. The cortege will leave her late residence, 11 Browne-avenue, Dalkeith, at 3 o'clock. Arthur E. The West Australian (Perth) Tuesday 23 Jul 1940 FUNERAL The Late Mrs. A. S. Pepper. The late Mrs. Eva Blanche Pepper, wife of Mr. Arthur Stanley Pepper, of the Education Department, passed away on July 20 at her late residence.,11 Browne-avenue, Dalkeith. The Rev. T. Gibson, of the Presbyterian church, Cottesloe, conducted a service in the crematorium chapel, Karrakatta, yesterday afternoon in the presence of a large congregation. Mrs. Pepper was born at Fremantle and had lived in this State all her life. She was a past treasurer of the Radiant Health Club and was always disposed to help others. During the last four years she had not been able to do what she desired owing to failing health. Mrs. Pepper was of bright and genial disposition and her main interest was in her home and family. She leaves a husband and grown-up family of two sons and one daughter to mourn their loss. Her younger son, Ronald, resides at Gwalia, Eastern Gold- fields. The chief mourners were:-Messrs. A. S. Pepper (husband, and Alwyn Pepper (son). Miss Nell Pepper (daughter), Messrs. Alf and George Dixon (brothers). Mesdames G. Anderson, N. Smith and G. Walker (sisters), Messrs. G. Walker (brother-in-law) and P. Smith (nephew) and Miss D. Anderson (niece). The pall-bearers were:- Messrs. T. G. Heydon (president, Claremont Bowling Club), C. S. Anderson (president, Nedlands Bowling Club), F. G. Bradshaw (Claremont Teachers' College), G. W. McLean (Teachers' Union), C. S. Crabbe (Claremont Practising School), A. M. Vance; Mesdames S. Courthope, W. Moore, Howie, B. Newman and B. McGaffin: and Misses E. G. Morgan, I. Livingston and M. Whiting. The hearse was laden with beautiful floral tributes, and expressions of sympathy have been received on all sides by the bereaved relatives. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Arthur E. Davies and Company.
