Death Notice:
Cannell.-On May 16, at New Plymouth, Roy Watkin, youngest son of the late Rev. W. Cannell and Mrs. Cannell, in his 31st year.

Hawera & Normanby Star 17 May 1922
The death occurred on Monday night of Mr Roy Watkin Cannell, youngest son of the late Rev. W. Cannell and Mrs Cannell, of New Plymouth. The late Mr Cannell had not been well for some time past. He had had several seizures of late, and only a week or so ago as the result of these his condition caused the gravest anxiety to his relatives and friends, but he rallied and had been able to get about again. He was in New Plymouth for a while on Monday, but had another seizure that night, and passed away. He had been in the employ of Mr Newton King and later Newton King Ltd., for about twelve years. The deceased had always taken a keen interest in different forms of sport, and for some years had been an active member of the Fitzroy Bowling Club. The sympathy of a large circle of friends will be extended to Mrs Cannell and family in their bereavement. The late Mr Cannell was 30 years of age.
