General News:
Death.-We regret to learn of the death-at the age of 63-of Mr. William Whitfield, Senr., of Mannum. The deceased gentleman was well known in the Balhannah and Oakbank districts, where he had resided for upwards of twenty-five years before his removal to Mannum in 1879. For some years Mr. Whitfield had charge of the State school at Oakbank, but latterly he entered business as a commission agent. The cause of death was heart disease, from wlii'ch the deceased had suffered for many years.
