Death Notice:
WHITFIELD.-On the 20th May, at Mannum, Barbara, relict of the late William Whitfield, aged 73 years. A colonist of 49 years.

LEGAL NOTICE:
BARBARA WHITFIELD, Deceased. - Pursuant to the Property Act, No. 6, of 1860 -- NOTICE is hereby given that all CREDITORS and other persons having any CLAIMS or demands against or upon the ESTATE of Barbara Whitfield, late of Mannum, in the Province of South Australia, widow, deceased, who died on the 20th day of May, 1888, are hereby required to SEND in writing on or before the 14th day of September next to James Gray Whitfield, of Oakbank, storekeeper, one of the Executors of the Will of the said deceased, to whom with Robert Thomson, of Cournamount, Justice of Peace, Probate was granted on the 22nd day of June, 1888, FULL PARTICULARS of their claims; and that after the said 14th day of September next the Executors will be at liberty to distribute the Assets of the said deceased amongst the parties entitled thereto, having regard only to the claims of which the said James Gray Whitfield shall then have had notice, and the said Executors will not after that time be liable for the Assets so distribute, or any part thereof, to any person of whose claim the said James Gray Whitfield shall not then have had notice.

Barbara married William WHITFIELD [12104] [MRIN: 4491] on 21 Feb 1853 in St James, Blakiston, South Australia. (William WHITFIELD [12104] was born circa 1820, died on 8 Jan 1883 in Mannum, South Australia and was buried on 10 Jan 1883 in Inverbrackie Cemetery, South Australia.)
